Do you have other volunteer opportunities available besides interviewing veterans?

Yes. There are many ways to assist veterans and participate in the Veterans History Project (VHP). In addition to conducting an interview, volunteers can assist interviewers by operating recording equipment, assisting a veteran with filling out forms, taking notes during an interview, or even typing a full transcript once an interview is complete. Court reporters may earn continuing education credit for transcribing VHP oral histories.

You may also consider planning an event in your community to recognize veterans or encourage others to participate with VHP.
