Yes. Please note that all Veterans History Project (VHP) participants retain copyright for their materials; therefore, you must obtain permission from the veteran (or their next of kin) before using the interview or other collection materials in exhibitions or publication. The release form signed by a veteran only grants permission for Library of Congress usage.
If you need to contact a veteran for permission to use their materials in exhibition or publication, VHP staff may try to help facilitate that process. Please contact us at vohp@loc.gov or 888-371-5848 for assistance.
