What information is made available to onsite researchers for undigitized collection materials?
Researchers and the general public who use come to the Library of Congress American Folklife Center to view a Veterans History Project (VHP) collection will have access to the collection materials, but not to the forms that contain personally identifiable information (e.g., home address and phone number). While in the reading room, researchers will be allowed to copy VHP collection materials for personal and research purposes, as well as other uses that are permitted by copyright law. For broader uses, such as publication or broadcast, permission from the veteran or family will be required.
