What information is made public in the Veterans History Project online collection?

The veteran’s name, state of birth and service history information, as they appear on the Biographical Data Form, are made available via the Veterans History Project (VHP) collection record online. The interviewer’s/donor’s name, affiliation and contents of the contributed collection are also included.

If the collection materials (interview, photos, correspondence, etc.) have not been digitized, you will only see descriptive information about the veteran and their collection online. If materials have been digitized, they will be immediately accessible from the veterans individual record online.

Please note that online display of collection materials is not exhaustive due to the volume of submissions received by the VHP.
