How does the Veterans History Project determine which collection materials will be viewable online?
We select collections for online display based upon several factors, such as curatorial or preservation needs, or because the Veterans History Project (VHP) has experienced or anticipates a high level of research interest. Items that are fragile, stored on an obsolete format (such as microcassette or VHS) or might be damaged by frequent handling by researchers, are prioritized as well. Online display of collections is not exhaustive due to the volume of submissions VHP receives.
