How do I find the Library's Scientists and Engineers Biographical File?

The Scientists and Engineers Biographical File is a print collection under the purview of the Library’s Manuscript Reading Room. It contains photographs, biographical information and bibliographies about scientists who were prominent in the early 1970s.

To use the collection, contact the Manuscript Reading Room.  The biography files are part of the Library of Congress archives, 1800-2015 and listed as "Science and Technology Division 1897-1980, Scientists and Engineers Biography Files." This collection contains 33 boxes and is stored offsite. A print index for the collection is available in the Manuscript Reading Room.
