The Law Library of Congress is engaged in continuing efforts to digitize legal and legislative materials to help users gain access to important historical documents. The Law Library's Digital Collections can be accessed on our website, law.gov. We regularly add digitized content, as noted in the "About the Collection" section for each collection.
Established by Congress in 1832, the Law Library has a collection of over 2.65 million volumes spanning the ages and covering virtually every jurisdiction in the world.
