Does the Law Library of Congress answer questions on foreign, comparative, or international law?
Congressional and other government requests receive priority, but the foreign law research staff is available for reference assistance with foreign, comparative, or international law (FCIL) questions. Researchers are encouraged to check online resources and the LOC Catalog first. To submit an FCIL reference question, use the Law Library's Ask a Librarian form.
Established by Congress in 1832, the Law Library has a collection of over 2.65 million volumes spanning the ages and covering virtually every jurisdiction in the world.
