What are your hours?

Reading rooms and research centers are generally open for research:

  • Monday - Friday from 8:30am until 5:00pm
  • Evenings Monday - Thursday 5:00pm until 8:30pm (select reading rooms)
  • Saturday from 8:30am - 5:00pm (select reading rooms)

Closing hours vary by reading room and day of the week. A list of hours and links to individual reading room and research center webpages can be found here: https://loc.gov/rr/hours.html 

Please note that public programs and exhibitions are closed on Mondays.
