Is wireless access available in the Library's public areas?

Yes. Free wireless service is available in most areas of the Library's research centers and buildings.

You are invited to explore the Library’s vast online resources using your own wireless-enabled device. Free WiFi is available in:

  • Library of Congress public research areas
  • Thomas Jefferson building exhibition spaces
  • Selected areas serving special clientele: Congressional reading rooms, the Kluge Center, and various meeting rooms.

Although there are some areas with limited reception in the Library’s historic buildings, the Library’s WiFi network is freely available in many public areas, including the Library’s cafeteria, snack bars and in the Microform and Electronic Resources Center in the Thomas Jefferson Building.
