Is guidance available for citing items or articles on the Library's website?

Yes. The Teachers website provides instructions and examples for citing primary sources from the Library's collections.

The Library of Congress website connects users to content created by the Library's many experts. In some cases, content can be posted without a clear indication of author, title, publisher or publication date. Look for available clues and give as much information as possible, including the URL and date accessed, whenever possible.

The links below provide descriptions and examples of citations in two different styles (Chicago and MLA) for various types of materials that may be found on the Library's website.
